Problems for 2014

Actual Problems from Real People.

The core principle of our event is that we only work on actual problems that are validated by people working in the field, or by people who experience the pain caused by the problem. We then work with these individuals or organization to define their problem in the form of a challenge to which the community can respond with a prototype solution. Each problem will be presented by a live human being who will be eager and interested to see a prototype solution mature into deployment and maintenance.

Participate

How can you help?

Civic hacking requires people. No matter what your technical skills, no matter how much hacking you've done in the past, we want you!

Join us on May 31!

The most obvious way to participate is to register for the event over the weekend of May 31 - June 1.

Help organize

There are many important things that must get done for the event to be a success. Please join us on Github where we manage tasks.

Sponsor the event

Please consider sponsoring us via either food, funds or space to make this year's event a huge success.

Sponsorship

Help us help Maine.

We are all volunteers. Even volunteers need coffee and food when they spend a weekend hacking on projects that will improve civic life across the pine tree state. Consider sponsoring our event.
